- Publications Required: Current versions of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, IMDG Code Regulations
- Complies with: Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods, IATA, and IMDG Requirements
Upon successful completion, students will:
- understand the hazards of lithium batteries
- be familiar with, and know their responsibilities under TDG, IATA, and IMDG Regulations
- be able to comply with requirements for fully-regulated and exempt lithium batteries including:
- Identification of lithium batteries, (including exempted batteries under TDG Special Provision 34, IMDG Special Provision 188 and IATA Section IB and II)
- Packaging
- Hazard communication
- Segregation
- Reporting releases
- be able to prepare, offer for transport or forward lithium batteries by ground, air, and sea
- meet the official training requirements of TDG, IATA DGR, and IMDG Code
Materials Provided: Course Presentation, Examples, Charts and Test.
Certificate: To obtain a certificate of completion, participants must achieve a mark of 80% or higher on quiz given at the end of the course. Certificate will be available to print upon successful completion.
