Transport Canada provides Videos for the Client Identification Database

Transport Canada Provides Videos for the Client Identification Database

The deadline for Transport Canada’s new Site Registration requirement is fast approaching. Before you know it, October 25, 2024, will be here.

If this deadline is news to you, it can be found in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDGR), Part 17, Site Registration. It is a client Identification Database (CID) for companies that handle, offer to transport, transport, or import dangerous goods into Canada. Companies must register providing some basic information to Transport Canada. Transport Canada has provided a questionnaire to help you decide if you need to register. The questionnaire can be found here.

To further assist companies, Transport Canada has created several videos.

CID Video explains the Site Registration/CID has been created and who must register.
